NEW ASSIGNMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I have your attention, I'm going to do a follow-up to one of my past assignment's. So I'm still trying to learn a few more tips and tricks, I'm yet to learn a Kickflip, or a Pop-Shuv It (imaluma if you're reading this, what do you mean by a varial) but I have, albeit (if you know what that means) learned how to Old School Kickflip. What people called a kickflip before there was the ollie. You put your front foot in the middle of your board, and your back foot under the middle of the board, lift up your front foot lightning fast and pop your back foot to the left AND up, and jump up.
You let the board flip 360 degrees around, and when you see the griptape, land bolts back on the board. It was a pretty easy trick to learn, imo, and I got it first couple tries. It was actually kind of funny, cause I did the trick and I thought I had invented it, then my heart broke when I saw it labeled as an Old School Kickflip multiple times on youtube. Enough about my depressing moments, I also learned how to 180 Ollie, the trick where you ollie 180 degrees, just like it sounds. Well, I can do it about 145 degrees, but I'm getting it, slowly but shurly. It's actually kidn of weird, because you're supposed to learn it frontside first, but I learned it backside, and I haven't even tried it frontside. Maybe it's easier? Idk yeat, cause It's dark and I can't skateboard outside at night :(
Tomorrow, I'm going to try a no comply nd a fs (that's frontside) 180 ollie. And if I get good enough, I'll tpe it and put it on youtube (on second thought, maybe not.) And if anyone wants, leave me a comment and I'll put a link of my FIRST youtube video.

Adobo

So yesterday we made pork adobo, a fillipino dish made with pork or chicken, garlic, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. I also made rice and fried garlic rice and it was real yummy. It was actually pretty easy to make, and you add the ingredients WHILE the pork is cooking. The end product tastes really good, if you get it right. It's sort of mixing a variety of the ingredients, till you find one that you like. The leftover rice that we added soy sauce and vinegar to, to creat yummy Jay Gann Fried Garlic Rice. The rice was easy to. Just add water and let it cook. Two easy steps. Really yummy ending!

Pizza!

I just love Mr. Oet. And PIZZA! YUM! Pizza is probably my favorite food, behind burgers, hot dogs, and pasta. YUMMY!!!!!! I just love the cheese, the tomato sauce, and the crust on pizza. Not ot mention the 5-star toppings. My favorite place to get pizza is between Papa Johns and EZ's, both places blocks from my house. I think Mr. Oet likes pizza too, cuse he sure gazes at my pizza whenever I'm eating some, and I make sure to use my best "ummm" noises around him just to brag. So he gets jealous, and usually gives me his taiwando moves. And they hurt too. That crazy little boy. Now I'm bird walking. Birdwalking is described as "What happens when you think bout something, yoju get off topic or 'birdwalk." That's a direct quote from my third grade teacher Mrs. Connie Perry. Anyway, I'll talk more about pizza. Ummm! anyway, I'll let you get on with your lives (I bet they're boring without me" nd let you do whatever you want on the web.

Mr. Oet

I'm going to talk about Mr. Oet. Unfortunately, Mr. Oet's mother said I can't use his "real" name, so he's Mr. Oet. I think you cats should be able to fugue it out.
Anyway, Mr. Oet is one of the coolest people I know. He eats like a million times a day, and is NEVER full. He's so small, he can get away with robbery (if he wanted to.) And plus he never gets sick (hopefully.) I haven't wriiten cause I had a mid-life crisis, and wasn't able to do anything, but skateboard, bmx and other stuuf that, you know, doesn't take any energy away. Mr. Oet's so cool also because he never has mid-life crisis' (hopefully.) And, also, people respect him. Nobody respects me.So that's why Mr. Oet's so cool.

The book is about Frank and Joe, along with their father, solving mystery cases all laround the United States. They often are in a very bad situation, but end up, however, solving the case with help from the chums, Chet, Buff, Jerry and other friends. Now you have the scoop on the Hardy Boys books, you should start your collection today! Of Hardcover Hardy Boys mysteries! Now go out, and add mystery to your bookshelf!

Another Assignment

Well, technically, this isn't an "assignment," but I feel like talking about ANOTHER one of my favorite topics. That is Skateboards.

Now at some point of our lives, we thought about learning to Skateboard. Be able to hop over 10 foot gaps, ride a ramp bigger than a house. Well, maybe I'm the only person that EVER thought about that. I've been skating since Christmas day, and I already pretty much have a few tricks. Skating is like BMX, though some say it's harder some say it's easier. I personally think it depend on what tricks you do. A Manual (in BMX terms, that's a Wheelie) is a basic trick were you lean to the back of your board, push on the tail (back) od the skateboard, and balance out aas long as you can. It's actually SUPER easy to do, but of course on a BMX Bike, it's a little more complicated! However, doing a kickflip on a skateboard, and doing a kickflip on a bmx bike. Wait a sec, a kickflip is where you filp the board all the way around and land back on it. How do you do that on a BMX Bike? See what I mean? Skating, in my opinion, is easier to do then BMX. And plus, it took me about 10 minutes to get the hang of just riding. I just hopped on, started pushing to gain speed, and all of a sudden, I was jumping off 5 foot high cars!

I mean?

1st. Assignment

Well today I have a specific "assignment," and that assignment is to write a bout a hobby I love. Oh boy, there's A LOT of different hobbies that I love, so it will be hard to pick just ONE. . . . .
Okay, I've figure out the hobby I'll write about. BMX!!!! That's Bicycle Motocross Racing, but what I'm really into is the tricks they do. That's BMX Freestyle! Oh boy. There's so many different tricks. Wheelies, endos, front rear hops, rear wheel hops, cherry pickers, no handers, 180s, 360s, and many more. Those are just SOME of the tricks that make up BMX Freestyle, and all the tricks range from sort of easy, to raging hard! Of course, safety gear is important too. BMX Freestylers wear such things as helmets, long pants, and pads on there bike so they don't 1. hit there head on the handlebars or 2. Crash there legs/anything else on the frame. Ouch! Well, atleast I'm just starting out, and not doing dangerous stuff YET. The tricks I do, include Wheelies, (that's riding on the rear wheel) Endos, (that's hitting the front brakes to stop the bike and lift the rear wheel of the ground and hold that pose) and a few more I don't feel like naming. Well, not you got the scoop on BMX Freestyle. Click here for a BMX Freestyle video.

Yes this is from the 1980s, but that's the style of tricks I do!

September 2, 2009

Well, today I was real excited, goin' to Mum's and all, but It turned out that a lady she helped was soon to die, so she had to help her. I was kinda sad, but I would rather that lady be helped then die, so I used Integrity! and went with the flow. Anyways, I still got togo to her house 'cause I had to drop off some lawn equimpent, and when I got there, we basically goofed of the whole time ;). I was there for about 30 mins. then I had to go back home, for REAL school. So I did a chapter off Like of Fred, some science, some reading of "When The Elephants Dance", and basically had a normal day. 'Til Nese and Nico came over, my aunt and cousin, and we went out to eat WITH Grandpa, Nese and Nico at Thouand Oaks Cafe. Then I hung out a Lela's, played with Maya, and had a JOLLY good day. ;)

August 26, 2009

Today, I got up at around 8:42 and after a bowl of cereal to get the day goin', I headed of to my grandma's house on my skateboard. Every wednesday, I'm going to go to her house for art class, and that's what I did today. Fist. we made a color wheel with colored pencils, then watercolors, and next week I'm going to do the same thing with mosaics. At around 10:30 i headed off back home, and started my math workbook, "Life of Fred: fractions" Lessons 1-3, and got every question right! However, I'll admit those questions were hard! Ir started off on easy stuff like is 5<6 true or false? and stuff like that. Then it went to stuff like 31 x 999,976,567 which I STILL got right! Last but not least, I wrote a page report on what learned about black-holes from Nova Now on KLRN!

How To Make Turon

A little background, Turon is a Filipino dessert, Filipinos learned from the spainards. Now's here's how to make it!

Ingredients:

3 Plantain Bananas
Package of 25 Spring Roll Wrappers
Cup of Sugar (Brown, white or mixed)
1/4 cup of oil

Part 1 - Preparing The Turon

1. Cut plantain in half lengthwise, then slice into 1/4 inch pieces lengthwise (keep in peel when cutting, then peel after slicing.)
2. Peel spring roll wrappers apart from each other (slowly! don't tear!)
3. Coat plantain in sugar.
4. Place plantain slice diagonal across one corner, fold small corner over and tightly roll until halfway across wrapper.
5. Add water to the center of the turon where the plantain is translucent.
6. Fold over your left side onto the center, then add water over the folded side and fold the right side on top of the center. Make sure you make the turon snug so it doesn't fall apart.
7. The turon should now look like an open envelope. Now add water to the center AND on the top part.
8. Fold your turon again twice so it is a closed envelope.
9. Put the turon onto your plate so you can cook it when your ready.
10. Repeat process until you're done preparing all your turon

Part 2 - Frying the turon.

1. Heat stove to medium setting and place pan with oil on the stove.
2. Put the turon on the stove untill both sides are golden brown.
3. Repeat process until all turon is cooked. Now share your yummy turon with your friends!

August 25, 2009

Today was the second day of school and today I didn't really do much stuff that actually counts as school. :( Instead, I went to a park towards Boerne on I- and meet with some other homeschool kids from 10-1. We played games like sharks and minnows and basketball (I won :) and I had lots of fun. Then we went out for Thundercloud Subs!!!!!!!!!!!! The only school-type thing I really did today was watched Nova which is a show on KLRN that talks about science things snd today they talked about black holes that they saw in the Milky Way on a radar thing right above Chile, South America.
